A Blog Away from Life?
I dont usually do stuff like this.
Kazablanka is the owner of one of Oman's most popular blogs. She has a pretty big - and very loyal - fan following. Now, I'm an extremely infrequent visitor to that blog, but I can understand why it has such popularity. Its hard not to fall into the mood of the blog. The pervasive carefree silliness of her posts and manner. It seems some people really like a blog like Kaza's, which purposely avoids being too serious. It makes a stark contrast with the blogs of some other finalists, which tend to stay mostly on the serious side. I think some people like that, its an opportunity to escape from our serious lives into something more fancy and more rich. Kind of like stepping into The Sound Of Music :p if I can use that comparison: everything seems carefree and happy.
Why I'm writing a blogpost about this is because I visited Kaza's blog today. Its too happy for me! I didnt really read the posts, but read the comments, and its quite suprising how into it the bloggers are - they really love her. And theres a poll on the side saying 'what do you think of this blog' and the possible choices are its great, it stinks, you stink, i stink, we all stink (each one with an exclamation mark). As silly as the poll was, I couldnt help but vote for 'we all stink!'. Its very easy to fall into that carefree mood with her blog...and thats kinda scary. :p
PS Theres an excerpt from a book I'm been meaning to post here for days, but the thought of typing out all that text puts me off. I'll do that in my next blog post hopefully!

Now she would be happy that there are two whole posts about her in the Omani blogsphere :)
Do you find yourself away serious illogicist?!
oh pls NF
yes is full of of nonsense, silly nonsense
and now ppl don't tell me is just envy for her views and partecipation
LOL @ silly nonsense :^)
It might be silly. But it is also sweet, smart, friendly, funny and takes your mind off other things, at least for a little while.
There are other bloggers that write long complicated relevant interesting stories that require a particular state of mind (and ample free time) to read. With Kaza's posts, this is not a prerequisite. And who said what the blogs should be? Aren't they supposed to be what we want them to be?
Way to go, Illogicist. You said out out loud: You can't HELP but vote in that silly poll for "We all stink"! It just makes you smile.
Way to go, Kaza. Please don't stop making me smile with your "silly nonsense".
Back off PizzaQueen!
I am waiting for the answer!
Nightface, do you mean do I find myself serious in real life?
Yes.
Or let me ask, do you compare yourself of being serious to being funny?!
lol attacking kaza is like attacking the virginity of the Pope or the manhood of Rocco Siffredi
lez put it like this : most of the bloggers are people i know and met
am interested in nonsense not in silly nonsense
am interested in human beings, true human beings
am interested in what one can give me not in what i ask him/her to give me
more diplomatic than this i couldn't be
We're all free to our opinions, and we're all free to read whatever blogs we want.
In real life, Im serious with almost everyone except close friends and family. Thats just how I am.
When the blog is about your real life then it doesn't make much difference.
Well then maybe people should stop attacking.
Welcome to life dear
